Home to the Spanish Peaks Arts Council Gallery - open Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays 11 - 3; Saturdays 10 - 3, La Veta is a great destination town for summer trips in Colorado. They enjoy some of the prettiest landscape in southern Colorado and the town itself has several galleries, the Fort Francisco Museum, a wonderful bakery, and Charlie's market for ice cream and fabulous deli sandwiches.; worth the trip.
